Intecsa-Inarsa was present at the Technical Exchange on River Basin Management Planning in India held in Hyderabad on 13 and 14 February last as part of the framework of the collaboration activities being carried out by the India-EU Water Partnership (IEWP).

Our colleague Carlos Benítez delivered a presentation titled Integrated Water Resources Management Planning: Data Needs to Assess Impacts and How to Tackle and Administer Information Shortcomings and also participated in the work sessions with representatives from the Indian Government and water managers from the Krishna, Godavari and Mahanadi River Basin Authorities

The following day, as part of a parallel initiative, the Blueprint for Water Accounting in India workshop was held in Delhi, organised by the Indian Ministry of Water Resources with the support of the IEWP group and the 2030 Water Resources Group, a public-private-civil society collaboration sponsored by the World Bank, whose objective is to drive action on water resources reform and close the gap between the demand for and supply of water by the year 2030.

The workshop included the presentation of a report on the issue drawn up by INTECSA-INARSA, Fresh Thoughts and the Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy.

We will continue working to participate in the planning and development of water resources in this immense, fascinating country.
